Dropbox Will Offer A Free Password Manager:
DropBox launched DropBox Passwords in the summer of 2020 for its paying customers, but it announced to introduce the password management feature for free Basic accounts in April 2021. Meaning that DropBox Basic account users can take advantage password management feature, in addition to usual storage and file sharing features.
The DropBox Passwords for free accounts will limit 50 passwords that can be synced across three devices that make it seem like a move to uplift you on a paid DropBox account. Bear in mind Dropbox Plus account costs $11.99/month, while the Professional account costs $19.99/month in the US.
The DorpBox Passwords works like any other password managing app that enables you to create and store unique passwords and update or rest passwords after a data breach. To make it simple, the password manager remembers usernames and passwords across all of your devices, so you don’t have to remember a large number of passwords. DropBox also plans to allow its users to share their passwords securely to other accounts in the near future.

Last month, rival password manager Lastpass put a device limit on its free basic plan, which gives a reason to users to find a free alternative. DropBox will indeed give you the ability to sync your passwords across three devices without any cost.
